About Michal Ostrowski

Michal was born in 1978 in the town of Siedlce, Poland. A member of the Photography Section of the Municipal Centre of Culture, he worked for several years as a press photographer for Siedlce's local weekly paper. He has taken part in a number of photo en-plein-airs and several joint exhibitions. His photography spans from landscape panoramas and architecture details to portaits and experimental impressions. It is characterised by specific lighting and his very own expressive touch.

A father of one, currently living in Aberdeen and working in Inverurie, Michal, upon his arrival to the British Isles 5 years ago, instantly became a true admirer of Scotland's stunning sights. Being a passionate fly-fishing angler at the same time, he has been exploiting every opportunity to explore the country and capture Scotland's dramatic scenery in his own distinguished style.

Michal is projecting "Landscapes of Scotland" to form a collection of sets presenting the grim beauty of the very unique Scottish nature. This issue carries a selection of scenic locations along the Aberdeenshire coast where the North Sea's proximity co-creates an exceptional atmosphere.

Enjoy!
